A Gwinnett County father allegedly beat his 10-week-old son so severely the infant had skull fractures and other head injuries, police said
Kelvin Lewis Odom, 50, was arrested early Thursday and charged with cruelty to children in the first degree, jail records showed. Police were called to Odom’s Lawrenceville-area apartment, in the Water Vistas complex off Club Drive, earlier in the week, Channel 2 Action News reported.
No information was released on what investigators found in the apartment. Odom’s arrest warrant said the baby had skull fractures and several other head injuries. The baby was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Odom was being held without bond Friday night at the Gwinnett jail.
