A store clerk was shot during an armed robbery Monday evening in southwest Atlanta, police said.
The Donnelly Food Store clerk, who was shot in his back, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and is alert, conscious and breathing, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Brown said.
The shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m. on the 1200 block of Donnelly Avenue.
Police said one suspect was wearing a red hoodie with white writing on it and gray pants. The second suspect was wearing a maroon hoodie with camouflage pants, a black hat and a book bag.
Both men were wearing masks. Police do not know the men’s ages.
The identity of the clerk was not released.
The investigation is on going.
