A shooting in South Fulton left a child with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

South Fulton police are investigating the incident, which happened Saturday in the 3000 block of Sable Run Road, according to agency spokesman Lt. Derrick Rogers.

Officers were sent to the location about 6:45 p.m. and found an injured boy, he said. The boy’s exact age was not released.

He was rushed to a hospital, Rogers said. No other details about the shooting were released.
