DeKalb County police said the man accused of shooting a woman multiple times Tuesday in Gresham Park is a “known acquaintance.”

An aggravated assault warrant is out against Bradley Williams, 33, in connection with the shooting. He is not in custody, police said Wednesday.

Officers were sent to an address on Vicki Lane just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, police spokesman J.D. Spencer said. Police found a woman who had been shot multiple times sitting in a car.

The woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. She was stable Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A detective at the scene said the woman was able to speak and identified the man who shot her.
