All lanes of I-285 East at Spaghetti Junction have reopened, hours after a death investigation shut down the interstate and caused major Inner Loop delays.

Authorities were called to the scene about 5:30 a.m., the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported.

According to Channel 2 Action News traffic reporter Mark Arum, DeKalb County police confirmed “someone jumped off of a flyover ramp on I-85 onto I-285 in Spaghetti Junction.”

Drivers were urged to avoid the area until just before 8:15 a.m. when the interstate reopened.

“Traffic is improving in the area,” Arum said.
