Howell Mill Road reopens after gas leak, evacuations
A gas leak closed a portion of Howell Mill Road near 14th Street on Tuesday afternoon.

May 1, 2018A gas leak that closed Howell Mill Road near 14th Street in northwest Atlanta and forced several businesses to be evacuated Tuesday afternoon has been stopped and the road has reopened, according to the Atlanta Fire Department.
Atlanta Gas Light crews worked for several hours to repair the line.
A condominium complex was also evacuated. No injuries were reported.
