Officials in Carroll County have found and identified the body of a boater who went underwater Monday and did not resurface.

Emergency rescue crews pulled 40-year-old Charlie W. Queen’s body from Lake Buckhorn about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Carroll Coroner Keith Hancock confirmed.

Queen’s body was found near a dam in the same general area of where he was last seen before going underwater, Carroll sheriff’s office spokeswoman Ashley Hulsey told AJC.com.
