Police are trying to find the men who robbed two 13-year-old boys as they walked to their father’s house in Athens.

The boys had just left their mother’s house when a green four-door sedan approached them about 10:40 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Olympic Drive, Athens-Clarke County police spokesman Geof Gilland told AJC.com.

Two men who appeared to be in their late teens were inside the car, police said. One of them pointed a handgun at the boys and stole their cellphones and a book bag, officials said.

One had long dreads, and the other had a short haircut.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery is asked to call police.
