Carrollton residents are no longer under a boil water advisory as of Friday afternoon, city officials said.

The advisory was issued after a water main break temporarily left thousands without water Wednesday, Carrollton officials said.

The break was repaired Thursday and the “water system pressure (was) completely restored.”

However, mandatory water sampling takes more than 24 hours to complete, the city said.

The break caused pressure in parts of the city’s water system to drop to “dangerously low levels.”
