Two people were arrested Thursday after they allegedly trafficked nearly 9 grams of heroin, Cherokee County sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said.

Taylor Drew Eggerton, 22, and Madison Riley Rosser, 23, both of Woodstock were charged with heroin trafficking after a resident at the the Stay Lodge on the 100 block of Woodpark Boulevard called police about drug activity.

Baker said the duo had “twice the amount of heroin to qualify for trafficking charges,” or about 9 grams. Eggerton also had a gun.

Eggerton was already had active arrests warrants for a parole violation, Cherokee County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad Commander Phillip W. Price said.
