Police are investigating a shooting outside a Nashville home, where a 15-year-old was hospitalized and several others were injured.

Metro Nashville Police Department responded to a call around 8:30 a.m. CT at a home near Rainwood Drive and Woodstock Drive in North Nashville, police told WKRN Channel 2 News.

A 27-year-old man had tracked his girlfriend’s stolen vehicle to the area, according to police. The car had been taken last week while it was left warming up, officers said. The man told police  he blocked in the stolen vehicle and walked up to the driver’s side of the car in an attempt to retrieve it.

According to his report two juveniles inside, including the 15-year-old driver who attempted to flee, struck two vehicles. Police believe gunfire ensued after the altercation between the man and the teenagers.

Officers are not sure how many people were shot, but they confirmed there were multiple victims. Police did confirm that the 15-year-old was treated at TriStar Skyline Medical Center for minor injuries.
