3 Jersey City officers hospitalized after shots fired

An active shooting situation happened Dec. 10, 2019, in Jersey City, New Jersey. The report of shots fired was originally at the Bay View Cemetery. When police arrived, the suspects had reportedly barricaded themselves inside a bodega. The suspects then reportedly fired at responding police officers. Suspect allegedly fired at officers during drug investigation

Three Jersey City police officers were hospitalized Thursday with minor injuries when a man allegedly pulled a gun on them and fired in their direction.

The officers were taken to Jersey City Medical Center with minor injuries, according to ABC7.

Police were responding to reports of drug activity in the area when the suspect, identified as Jamel Bolden, 32, pulled out a weapon.

The officers suffered minor injuries while struggling with the suspect. No one was shot, and no fatalities have been reported.

The incident reportedly occurred at the intersection Rutgers and McAdoo avenues.
