Three Jersey City police officers were hospitalized Thursday with minor injuries when a man allegedly pulled a gun on them and fired in their direction.

The officers were taken to Jersey City Medical Center with minor injuries, according to ABC7.

Police were responding to reports of drug activity in the area when the suspect, identified as Jamel Bolden, 32, pulled out a weapon.

The officers suffered minor injuries while struggling with the suspect. No one was shot, and no fatalities have been reported.

The exact nature and extent of the officers’ injuries have not been reported.

The incident reportedly occurred at the intersection Rutgers and McAdoo avenues.

The incident comes weeks after two attackers killed four people, including a police officer, in Jersey City
