Two houseboats and three additional boats were damaged early Friday in a fire at Aqualand Marina in Flowery Branch, officials said.

No one was injured in the blaze, Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett said.

Crews responded to a call about a possible houseboat fire on Dock Q about 5:15 a.m.

“While en route, law enforcement reported heavy fire and a second alarm was requested to augment the assignment,” Brackett said.

They found two houseboats and a tugboat ablaze.

Two additional boats were damaged during the fire, Brackett said.

One of the damaged boats sank, and another was on its way down just before 8:10 a.m., according to Channel 2 Action News.

A witness told the television station he tried to extinguish the fire while in his pajamas and socks.

“The main body of fire has been extinguished at this time and crews are continuing to put out hot spots,” Brackett said.

Investigators don’t know what sparked the fire.

Aqualand Marina is about 45 miles north of downtown Atlanta.
