The body that was found Sunday in the middle of Lake Olmstead has been identified as 27-year-old Elzabad Ferguson III of Chattanooga, Tennessee, according to news station WRDW, citing the Richmond County Coroner’s Office.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate, according to multiple news reports.

A kayaker found Ferguson’s body in the Augusta lake, according to anchor John Hart of news outlet WJBF.

Officials from the Criminal Investigation Department and the coroner’s office responded Sunday, Fox 54 reported.
