Hard seltzers have taken the country by storm in the last few years, with new brands popping up everywhere, including the latest from Mountain Dew.

On Tuesday, Boston Beer Company announced a collaboration with Pepsi to add a new contestant to the spiked seltzer game — “HARD MTN DEW.”

The spiked beverage will come in three flavors, including original, black cherry and watermelon, according to a news release from the company.

“We know that adult drinkers’ tastes are evolving, and they are looking for new and exciting flavorful beverages. The combination of our experience in brewing and developing the best-tasting hard seltzers and hard teas, and MTN DEW, a one of kind multi-billion dollar brand, will deliver the excitement and refreshment that drinkers know and love,” Dave Burwick, Boston Beer’s CEO, said in a news release.

Don’t rush to the supermarket yet. The Mountain Dew seltzer won’t hit shelves until 2022.

Hard seltzers, which are essentially just flavored alcoholic bubbly water, have a low ABV, coming in at about 5%. The fizzy drink also has a relatively low-calorie and low-carb count, putting them ahead of wine, beer and cocktails for health-conscious consumers.

Many Atlanta breweries have jumped into the hard seltzer game, including Monday Night Brewing’s Narwater and Second Self Beer Co.’s Rudi’s Hard Seltzer.
