Atlanta police are investigating bomb threats called in Wednesday afternoon to three CVS stores.
Police received the report of the first threat around 2:10 p.m., with the next two coming in within about 15 minutes.
APD spokesman Ralph Woolfolk said the store at 3030 Headland Drive was evacuated briefly following the threat made there. He said officers searched the property and did not find any suspicious packages or devices.
Threats were also made to the stores at 1455 Moreland Ave. SE and 2237 Cascade Road SW.
Woolfolk said police believe a common phone number was involved in the making of the threat calls to all three stores.
Several other Atlanta CVS stores were the targets of bomb threats just two months ago. Police investigated threats made Sept. 17 to the stores at 3637 Peachtree St., 12 Broad St. and 680 Ponce de Leon Ave.
Officials have not yet said if Wednesday’s threats were related to the ones that occurred in September.
