A body found Thursday morning in Lilburn has been identified as a 26-year-old woman missing since Saturday.

Gwinnett County police said Angela Rabotte’s body was found in a wooded area near the intersection of Lilburn Industrial Way and Arcado Road. The body was found about 10:30 a.m. by surveyors working in the area, police said.

Gwinnett police said Rabotte was last seen in the parking lot of the Steeplechase Apartments in unincorporated Norcross about 6 a.m. Saturday after attending a party in Atlanta Friday evening. Police said Rabotte dropped off her 3-year-old daughter with a friend before heading to the party.

Earlier in the week, friends of Rabotte searched a wooded area around the Steeplechase Apartments, but did not find anything, police said. Her body was found about 5 miles east of the apartment complex.

Foul play is suspected in Rabotte’s death, police said, and Lilburn detectives have launched a homicide investigation.

Police said one of the last people to see Rabotte alive is in custody, but on unrelated charges.
