Bicyclist killed by hit-and-run driver in Marietta

Marietta police Wednesday were asking for the public’s help in finding the hit-and-run motorist who struck and killed a bicyclist.

The bicyclist was hit before 5 a.m. on South Marietta Parkway, east of Fairground Street near the Cobb Community Transit bus transfer station.

Marietta police spokesman David Auld said the victim was apparently on his way to work when he was hit. His name was being withheld until relatives could be notified.
