A Henry County woman allegedly killed by her husband was beaten to death, according to an autopsy report released Tuesday by police.

Sheray Latriest Felton died from blunt force trauma "with an offensive weapon to include lacerations with an edged weapon," Henry County Police spokesman Sgt. Joey Smith said.

Her husband, Joseph Andrew Felton, Jr., 43, is accused of fatally attacking her on Saturday, police said.

He was arrested Sunday in Chicago following a police chase from south-suburban Harvey, Illinois, and what was reported as a nine-hour SWAT standoff.

It is unclear when Joseph Felton, Jr. will be returned to Henry County to face the murder charge against him.
