Augusta couple charged with cruelty, murder in 1-year-old’s death

Updated Feb 24, 2021An Augusta couple is facing murder and cruelty to children charges in the death of their 1-year-old child.
Tyrone Scott, 34, and Salena Scott, 21, allegedly and repeatedly turned off Travis Scott’s ventilator, as reported by WFXG Fox 54.
According to affidavits, the parents were told multiple times by nurses and respiratory therapists not to turn off the child’s ventilator.
Travis died Feb. 13. His parents are in jail and booked on charges.
