The woman shot and killed Monday at an apartment on Boulevard has been identified as Ashley Belle, 22, of Atlanta.
Belle was shot around 3 p.m. at the Auburn Glenn Apartments in Atlanta.
Police arrested Laura Bozeman, 22, and charged her with murder.
“The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and perpetrator are domestic partners and they they had been in verbal and physical altercations for the past two days,” Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said in an email to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The crime scene was consistent with a physical altercation having occurred there.”
Jones said that during an interview with detectives, Bozeman “provided incriminating statements as to her involvement in the shooting death.”
Police said a weapon was recovered at the scene.
