Showers are expected to taper off by the end of Tuesday, according to forecasters. Then, expect warmer weather.

“The rest of this week, it’s going to get hot,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said. “As the rain chances drop, the temperatures are going up.”

High temperatures Tuesday afternoon will reach the upper 80s, Minton said. But Thursday’s forecast includes a high of 95 degrees, she said. Friday’s high is expected to be 94 degrees, she said.

After Tuesday, there is a 20 percent chance of rain through the weekend, Minton said.
