Atlanta police on Wednesday announced an arrest in the October death of a 28-year-old man.

Ricky Wilborn was fatally shot Oct. 16 at the Pavilion Place Apartments on Cleveland Avenue, according to police. Investigators tracked down suspect Tre’sean Henry in Charlotte, North Carolina, and he was arrested Tuesday with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service.

Henry is expected to be brought back to Georgia to face charges, which were not disclosed.

Wilborn was born and raised in Atlanta and was passionate about nature and science, according to his online obituary. His family said he had recently started a new job, and his body was found with the cash from his paycheck.

According to police, Wilborn was lying on the ground when officers responded to a report of a person shot at the southwest Atlanta apartment complex about 11:15 that night. He had been shot multiple times and was dead at the scene.

“His murder was completely unexpected and caused great heartache, we are shocked and deeply saddened,” his family said in the obituary.

Wilborn was convicted of robbery by force in a 2012 incident in Fulton County, state prison records show. He served nearly three years of a 10-year sentence and was released from Macon State Prison in June 2015.
