With city of Atlanta departments closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, the schedule for residential trash and recycling pickup will be altered all of next week.

There will be no collection of trash, recycling, yard trimmings or bulk items on Monday, Jan. 18. The rest of the week will operate on a one-day delay. For example, residents whose normal collection day is Monday will be serviced on Tuesday, Jan 19.

That schedule continues through Saturday, Jan. 23.

Anyone in need of additional assistance can contact the city by calling 311 if inside Atlanta city limits or 404-546-0311. More information is available at www.atlantaga.gov/solidwaste.
