The work day will begin a little later than usual on Tuesday for Henry County government.

County leaders said offices will delay opening by two hours because of the potential for black ice caused by below freezing weather and days of rain.

“Out of an abundance of caution, county offices will open at 10 a.m.,” a county spokeswoman said.

The impact of the inclement weather will not affect Henry schools as the system is out for the week as part of its winter break.
