Friday is the last day voters can request an absentee ballot for the 2021 municipal and county election.

Fulton County government’s Facebook page posted a graphic Wednesday that walks people through the process.

The use of mailed ballots increased many times over in Georgia since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are four ways to return an absentee-by-mail application: mail, fax, email or an online portal.

Voters can submit their filled-out ballot by mail or at one of eight drop boxes throughout the county.

County data shows 177 people have used the drop boxes through Tuesday. Nearly 7,000 have applied for an absentee-by-mail ballot.
