Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann announced Tuesday she will not run for reelection at the end of the year, capping 11 years on the board.

The Republican was a founding member of the Johns Creek City Council. She also served on the Fulton board of education from 2002 to 2006. There’s no official word on what’s next for the Republican.

“Thank you to the citizens of Fulton County for the confidence they have placed in me to serve the community that I hold dear,” Hausmann said. “I am proud of our record of improvements in Fulton during my tenure. It has been the honor and privilege of my life to serve North Fulton.”
