Fayette County Schools reported seven new students with the coronavirus in the district’s most recent weekly update.

The school system said the cases were among 14,292 students who attended classes in brick-and-mortar buildings between Oct. 16 and Oct. 23. A total of 181 students were in isolation or quarantine because of the virus.

The district said that there were four new cases of COVID-19 among staff. Twenty-one of the 2,989 workers in the school system were in isolation or quarantine.
