Clayton County will soon launch a microsite to make it easier for businesses to find out information about the south metro Atlanta community and its cities.

AdvanceClayton.com will serve as a source for business recruitment, expansion and retention by offering location, demographic, business and economic data of Clayton County. The county and its largest cities -- Jonesboro, Morrow, Riverdale, Forest Park, Lake City and Lovejoy -- can use the website to promote available properties and feature opportunity zones, broadband availability, transportation systems and schools and colleges.

“Tools like this help us ensure that all opportunities across the region can be found and explored by both new businesses seeking a site location south of metro Atlanta near the airport, or for existing industry looking for growth space, Clayton County Economic Development Officer Erica Rocker said in a release announcing the website Thursday.

“This is something we have never had before, and it speeds the process of responding to client inquiries in an accurate and comprehensive way tremendously,” she said.

The site will come with demographic analysis, business reports, community profiles and workforce data, the county said.

“Being able to offer entrepreneurs and established business owners’ key information regarding available properties in Clayton County is absolutely critical for the economic growth of our county and the southern crescent region,” Clayton Chief Operations Officer Detrick Stanford said. “This resource allows both existing businesses and entrepreneurs to make fully informed decisions quickly, so they can respond to opportunities.”
