BREAKING: Atlanta City Council approves legislation to fund the planned public safety training center in DeKalb County. It passed 11-4 after more than 14 hours of public comment almost entirely against the project.

The vote clears the way for the city to devote as much as $67 million in taxpayer dollars to the facility — a much larger share of the project’s cost than the public was previously told.
