Special elections are scheduled Tuesday in metro Atlanta for a seat on the Fulton County Commission and another on the Atlanta Board of Education.

Voters who live in Atlanta School Board District 2 and Fulton County Commission District 6 are eligible to vote.

The Fulton County special election will choose a successor to longtime Commissioner Emma Darnell, who died earlier this year.

The Atlanta Board of Education election will replace former school board member Byron Amos, who resigned to run for Atlanta City Council.

Information about the special election, including voting locations, can be found on the Fulton County elections web site.

If needed, a runoff election will take place Oct. 15.
