• A man was shot and killed while standing at a MARTA bus stop, Atlanta police say. Details were limited, but police said the unidentified man on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway was shot Wednesday night by a person who got out of a car and fired a gun multiple times. A child with the man at the bus stop was not injured.
  • Rapper Waka Flocka Flame is running for president, or so he claims in a profanity-laced public announcement. The Atlanta native is too young to qualify for the nation's highest office and has a lengthy criminal record, but says he wants to legalize marijuana and make children learn his songs.
  • A third child has died after a powerful crash DeKalb police believe was related to drag racing. James Benford and Melanie Putnam are charged with vehicular homicide in the deaths. The two drivers were nearly side-by-side and traveling at approximately 100 mph when they struck a car driven by Cazhara Lovett, police say. Lovett, 30, was injured in the April 12 wreck on Moreland Avenue near the Starlight Theater and two of her children, Lauren Coleman, 3, and Jordan Coleman, 4, were killed. Family members said Tuesday that a third child, 6-year-old Jaylen Coleman, died Saturday.
