An Athens home was burglarized Wednesday afternoon by a real-life Mr. Clean.
The Athens Banner-Herald reported a woman returned to her trailer at the Athens Mobile Home Court and found that something was amiss. Her home had been broken into and the suspect reportedly made off with a set of $85 headphones.
But not before cleaning up the residence.
The suspect mopped the floor, cleaned the litter box and took out the trash, police told the Banner-Herald. The burgler also left some items behind that he had brought wiht him, including pans and coffee mugs.
The woman told police she believes the suspect might be a 26-year-old man she knows through friends who she allowed to spend the night at her house when he showed up intoxicated Sunday night.
