The man accused of killing a fellow college student remained on the run Monday, four days after the shooting outside a Sandy Springs student housing complex, police said.

Patricko Mondrez Davis, 21, of Atlanta, has been charged with murder in the death of Takeenan Williams, according to Sandy Springs police Capt. Steve Rose. Williams, 23, of Sandy Springs, died Thursday after being shot multiple times outside the Hub, located on Barfield Road near the intersection with Hammond Drive.

Investigators identified Davis as the alleged shooter early Friday, but he is not in custody.

“Davis’s whereabouts are not known,” Rose said Monday. “He is considered a fugitive.”

Both Williams and Davis attended the Art Institute of Atlanta and both were at the Hub at the time of the 4 p.m. shooting, according to police. But neither lived in the complex. Police believe a dispute between the two led to gunfire.
