A woman has been charged with murder for her role in a shooting death outside a hotel, Gwinnett County police said Monday. But the primary suspect remains on the run.

Brandy Leeanne Coker, 26, was arrested Saturday and charged with aggravated assault and felony murder in the death of Dewayne Jackson, according to Cpl. Jake Smith. She remained Monday in the Gwinnett jail, where she was being held without bond.

Jackson, 33, of a Decatur address, was found dead Thursday afternoon outside a second-floor room at the Ramada Inn on Oakbrook Parkway, near Norcross. Jackson died from gunshot wounds, police previously said.

Police have been unable to locate the second suspect, 26-year-old Tony Craig, who will also be charged with felony murder and aggravated assault, Smith said. Craig, who goes by the nickname “Polo,” is about 6-feet tall and weighs 170 pounds, according to police. Craig’s hair may be in small braids or cornrows, such as it was in surveillance footage from the hotel, or it may have been cut short following the shooting death.

No information has been released regarding a possible motive in the shooting death, but police have said it was not a random crime.

Craig may be driving a black 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix and should be considered armed and dangerous, Smith said. Anyone with information on Craig’s should contact detectives at 770-513-5300 or 911.
