GBI investigators announced they have arrested a suspect in the killing of a Norcross cab driver.
Adam Matthew Pfeifer has been charged with murder in the death of Afolabi Odifa, GBI spokeswoman Sherry Lang said Monday.
Odifa, 36, was found slumped over the wheel of his taxi in front of 800 Chase Common Drive in the Spring Lakes Apartment complex on Aug. 16. Odifa, who worked for ATL Taxi, had been shot in the back of the head, according to the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Late last week, agents were still saying they had no leads in the case. No details were released Monday about what brought a break in the case, which was handled by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
In addition to the murder charge, Pfeifer has been charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and participation in criminal gang activity, the GBI said.
He is being held at the Gwinnett County jail.
