An Amber Alert was canceled Monday afternoon for a 5-year-old girl in North Florida, according to multiple news outlets, citing officials in Madison County.
Naomi Herring was found safe about 2:30 p.m., news outlet WESH reported.

Earlier Monday, investigators searched for Naomi, who was last seen early Monday wearing a black-and-yellow bumble bee dress and blue shorts, Fox 13 in Tampa Bay reported.

Deputies responded to the Deerwood Inn in Madison County, which borders Georgia. The inn is near the Interstate 10 interchange with South State Road 53.

Deputies arrived about 1:59 a.m. Monday after receiving a report of a missing child, according to Fox 13.

Naomi was last seen sleeping in one of the motel rooms about 12:30 a.m. with another child in the care of a man, according to the sheriff's office. Officials didn't specify the relationship between Naomi and the adult, Fox 13 reported.
At 1:40 a.m., the child's mother returned to the room and found the door was closed but unlocked, officials said, according to Fox 13. When she entered, Naomi was not inside, but the remaining occupants were, according to Fox 13.

Before Naomi was recovered, deputies and a K9 tracking team from the Florida Department of Corrections searched the area, according to the Fox outlet.
