A winning Jumbo Jumbo Bucks ticket fetched $500,000 for a lucky Alpharetta resident, the Georgia Lottery said Friday.

Virginia Webster purchased the ticket at a Suwanee Exxon on Old Suwanee Road in Buford and recently claimed her prize, the lottery said.

To win the prize shown on the ticket, players scratch off the entire play area of the card and try to match any of the numbers that appear with any of six serial numbers shown. Players also have a chance to win five times’ the amount shown.

The lottery helps fund Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and pre-K program.
