A survey by Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority is being offered until Jan. 15 to determine transit travel and fare preferences, according to a press release. Public input in this process is critical to develop an effective and equitable regional fare program that works for both customers and operators.

The ATL is currently exploring fare policies and guidelines for setting uniform, fair, and equitable fare structures across the 13-county region of Atlanta. This survey asks Atlanta-region transit users about preferred fare payment types and protentional new fare payment options, and it will help inform future fare policy for ATL transit services.

The responses to these questions will be used as a guide in discussion with regional operators on how to move forward with regard to regional fare policies. Specifically, the preference questions will be inputs into a model to determine cost sensitivity to understand how ridership will change based on changes to the cost of riding transit.
