Joseph DeRose is upset over a hole in a park near a major intersection in the city.

“I have driven, walked and run by this hole in the pocket park on the corner of Peachtree Street and 10th for well over a year. It is now starting to collect garbage and is a safety concern. Would you be able to find some answers as to what the delay is?” DeRose wrote.

We sent the issue to the city and will keep you updated.

Michael Gross is tired of a blocked culvert near a major shopping center.

“Please offer some immediate assistance to open the blockage of the culvert under the Shallowford Road bridge near the Publix at I-85 so it is not undermined by the next heavy rain,” Gross wrote.

He said he received confirmation back in December that Dekalb County would help clear the blockage, but it’s only gotten worse.

He said the owners of 93 E. Apartments are sending the county certified mail, putting the county on notice for any flooding outside the floodplain boundaries. Bradford Park parking lot supports are also eroding. He said the issue has been going on for months, but no relief has been offered.

We sent the issue to DeKalb County and will let you know when it is fixed.
