A boy found wandering alone in a Roswell apartment complex early Wednesday morning has been reunited with his family.

The child, who appeared to be 2 or 3 years old, was spotted around 1:30 a.m. in the area of the leasing office of the Park 83 Apartments on Calibre Creek Parkway, located off Holcomb Bridge Road. Roswell police said their officers canvassed the complex for several hours overnight but could not locate his caregivers.

A photo of the child was circulated showing him wearing only a camouflage shirt and diaper, and police asked for the public’s help to identify him or his parents.

By 9 a.m., the boy’s parent had been located in the complex and police were in the process of reuniting them. Roswell police spokesman Officer Timothy Lupo said the department does not anticipate criminal charges.

“The child was able to unknowingly leave the home on his own accord while being watched by a teenaged family member,” Lupo said in an email. “The father was at work at the time.”
