Police will close lanes Saturday morning, Oct. 16 in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody to accommodate over 2,000 runners participating in the 2021 Dyslexia Dash 5K run/walk.

Lane closures can be expected beginning 6 a.m. until about 10 a.m. around Perimeter Mall on Hammond Drive, Peachtree Dunwoody Road, and Central Parkway. Signs will be in place beginning Wednesday evening alerting drivers of the upcoming event and lane closures.

The Dyslexia Dash is sponsored by the non-profit International Dyslexia Association Georgia Branch. As a Peachtree Road Race qualifier, the event is designed to raise awareness of the reading challenges caused by dyslexia that affect 1 in 5 children and adults. Funds raised through the event provide teacher training scholarships and free community outreach events.
