Residents facing an emergency in Alpharetta have four new reasons to feel safer. Alpharetta Police Chief John Robison recently swore in four 911 Communications Officers following their successful completion of training. The city has congratulated Jordan Rufus, Sheana McMichael, Jazmin Hicks and Shyrell Hubbard on a job well done.

In addition, the city recognized three 911 Communications Officers for their hard work and acknowledged their promotions. Jazmin Hicks is promoted to Senior Communications Officer, Samaiyah Lamison is promoted to Senior Communications Officer and recognized for 5 years of service, and Robin Barton is promoted to Senior Communications Officer.

Alpharetta’s 911 Communications Officers receive and evaluate calls from the public concerning crimes, fires, and medical emergencies. They are responsible for evaluating calls for proper action, initiating police and/or fire response, and entering data into a computer as it is being received.
