The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board voted at its Nov. 12 regular meeting to approve a variance request for a 0.137-acre individual residential lot at 269 Janney Circle in McDonough. The applicant requested a reduction in the front yard setback from 20 to 18 feet and a reduction in the side yard setback from five to three feet.

County staff said the change was necessary due to a survey error which was discovered by the developer and brought to their attention, but not noticed by the property purchaser or neighbors. There was no opposition to the request at the ZAB meeting, and approval was given with conditions.
