Frank Trammer is the new police chief in Stockbridge. His appointment was announced Sept. 20 after it was confirmed at a special called meeting of the City Council. His start date is set for Oct. 4, and his very first tasks will include the actual formation of the department.

Henry County police have been handling law enforcement in Stockbridge, as it has for many years been the only city in the county without its own police force. Trammer’s most recent post was deputy chief with the Georgia Tech Police Department in Atlanta. Information: cityofstockbridge.com.
