Graduation ceremonies for Henry County’s public high school will return to Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton for the third consecutive year. The Henry County Board of Education voted unanimously at its Sept. 13 regular meeting to approve the renewal of a contract with AMS at a cost of $147,036 for use May 17-29, 2022. The agreement includes the use of the facility, parking, traffic direction, medical services, and radios for communication.

District officials pointed out that this allows each high school to have a graduation experience that includes state-of-the-art sound and live-streaming services; ample parking and access; unlimited tickets for family and guests; and the ability for people to attend more than one event since each ceremony is on a separate day.
