A $266,400 expenditure for the emergency purchase of eight police vehicles was approved by the Henry County Board of Commissioners at its Aug. 3 regular meeting. They are 2021 Ford Interceptors and are being acquired from a dealer in Unadilla using funds from the county’s SPLOST account.

In other business, the board voted to authorize a contract with the Atlanta Regional Commission under which Henry County Senior Services will receive $770,366 in federal and state funds to provide services for senior adults. A $50,392 local match is required, and that money is in the department’s budget. Both measures were approved unanimously. Information: henrycounty-ga.com.
