The Henry County Library System issued a statement Aug. 24 informing its patrons that all in-person programs would be temporarily halted effective immediately. The libraries are still open for anyone who wants to pick up books and DVDs or use the computers. Hotspots are also available for checkout.

The libraries are observing the same face covering and temperature screening protocols as all county government facilities.

Online resources such as ebooks, audiobooks and research databases are available at any time. Officials plan to give updates in the near future on new virtual programs and take-and-make kits. Library branches are located in Fairview, Hampton, Locust Grove, McDonough and Stockbridge. Information: henrylibraries.org.
