The upcoming fall elections have necessitated a change in the Henry County Board of Commissioners meeting schedule. County officials announced that the first regular meeting in November, which typically convenes on the first Tuesday morning of the month, has been moved to Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 9 a.m. in the community room of the county administration building, 140 Henry Parkway in McDonough.

This is because Nov. 2 is election day throughout the county. In addition to municipal elections in each of the four cities, all registered county voters will have the opportunity to vote on a referendum or a possible new sales tax to be used exclusively for transportation.
