An amended memorandum of understanding regarding the Boys & Girls Club coming to Henry County was approved Aug. 3 by the Board of Commissioners. Under a previous MOU adopted in 2019, the county paid $150,000 to the BGC’s Central Georgia chapter, but that agreement was terminated. The new MOU calls for the Metro Atlanta chapter to assume responsibility for operating the local clubs.

The BGCCG is returning the original payment to Henry County, which will pay $300,000 to the BGCMA now and another $150,000 a year from now. The vote to approve the measure was unanimous. Information: henrycounty-ga.com.
